Phil and his team are highly sought after for a reason - they are thorough, they are incredibly generous with their time & their reports are worth their weight in gold. The new General Condition 21 in the Contract of Sale of Land in Victoria only allows you to exit the Contract for a major current structural defect if the report was prepared in compliance with AS 4349.1-2007, which is always the case with a report from BuyWise. Don’t look anywhere else - these inspectors are stand outs in their field, and if I ever purchase again, I know who I will trust to ensure I’m buying something with good bones.

They responded to my online enquiry quickly and an inspection was organised by them with the agent within days. Other inspectors had already looked at the property but were clearly not as thorough as Phil given the amount of dust that dropped on him when he inspected the attic - no one else had opened the hatch before him! Price wasn’t cheap, especially since I was inspecting just a unit and I didn’t win the auction but gave him a go because I had family who had a great experience with their BuyWise inspection, also with Phil.Process was simple from start to finish - request a quote online, pay a deposit, BuyWise organises a date/time with the real estate agent, you are notified of the date/time, you pay deposit to confirm inspection, inspection happens, inspector calls you that evening to give you an overview of inspection results, you pay full amount, Buy Wise emails you the report.I had a shorter timeline due to an auction which made me anxious but Buy Wise got the inspection done in time and even got the vendor to fix a major plumbing issue prior to auction day.I wasn’t at the inspection myself as I couldn’t make it which made me uneasy but Phil was so thorough on the phone after the inspection that I actually think it was fine. I also gave Phil another call after I read through the official report and again, Phil was detailed, patient and super helpful.I would definitely recommend BuyWise.
